Accessible Gaming For All

About Us

We are two lifelong friends on a campaign to make gaming more accessible for disabled players everywhere — holding video game companies accountable for the inequality they create.

"No matter what disabilities you have, you can still play video games." — Haddon Macdonald

Our Story

Haddon Macdonald and Simon Ball, founders of Make Gaming More Accessible For All

Haddon Macdonald and Simon Ball met at The Castle School in Donnington, Newbury, in Spring 2003 and have been lifelong friends ever since.

The idea for the campaign began when Haddon, a passionate racing-game fan, realised that more and more titles were dropping support for steering-wheel controllers. For Haddon, who lives with Cerebral Palsy, and for many disabled players across the UK, a standard controller isn't always practical.

At first, he assumed it was a one-off issue — but as more games removed steering wheel compatibility entirely, he grew increasingly concerned. He wrote to four major developers, but none replied.

In June last year, Haddon met Simon for a morning coffee and shared his frustration. Simon immediately offered to help. He created a Facebook page and email address so players could share their experiences, and designed business cards for them to hand out to friends, family, and anyone interested in gaming accessibility.

Our Mission

Our goal is simple but urgent: to ensure that disabled gamers aren't left behind as game developers phase out accessible control options.

We are holding video game companies accountable for the inequality faced by disabled players — because no matter what disabilities you have, you can still play video games.
